Building discipline in the early years

In the early years of executive search in Norway, our founder Bjørn Myhre introduced a more rigorous and psychologically grounded approach to leadership assessment. Working closely with organisational psychologists and academic partners, PU helped shape evaluation practices that prioritised evidence, interpretation and responsibility. These principles became the backbone of how we work — analytical, disciplined and rooted in behavioural science.

As the firm grew, PU became recognised for its clarity and disciplined approach. By the late 90s, we had expanded across several Norwegian cities and were considered among the strongest brands in leadership recruitment, working with organisations across the Nordics on roles where sound judgement mattered.

Evolving with our clients

While markets and organisations have changed, the nature of leadership risk has not. We continue to support organisations in industrial, technical and complex environments where leadership impact is direct, measurable and often irreversible.
